Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor and is famous for his role in the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. While in college, he started to develop an interest in acting. In the University of Colorado at Boulder it was where he studied acting. While he has appeared in movies as well as on TV, it is the character actors on smaller screens that has earned him fame. He's been able easily play characters who are from both sides of law and grab the audience's attention. In his very first TV show, he was an infamous serial killer. Then, he played the character of an NYPD detective. For his performances on small screens, he has received numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. The actor is famous by his blue piercing eyes, which have turned into a signature and helped create a charismatic character for tough roles.
